Visible Light Photoactivation Module

Visible Light Photoactivation Module Our Photoactivation Module couples visible laser light into the scan head such that it is collimated and aligned for point uncaging. Potential applications include highly accurate point (or spot) activation of photoactive and photoswitchable molecules such as Channelrhodopsin and Halorhodopsin.

Features:

  • Single-mode fiber input
  • Spot mode sizing capability with adjustable iris
  • Variable spot size (5-25 μm spot) and diffraction limited point
  • Pointing/positioning through use of second set of galvos
  • Can take advantage of full visible light spectrum (400-700 nm)
